Grow your own Cut Flower Garden Series (+ Plants)
Over the past few years, we have begun sharing all that we know about growing cut flowers with aspiring and experienced gardeners alike. In this popular gardening class series you will learn LOADS about cut flowers and how to grow your own cut flower garden!
Included in your ticket are:
3 Classes
48 Baby Cut Flower Plants (plug tray)
2 Dahlia Tubers
Not only will you learn how to grow your own cut flower garden, but we give you all the plants to make it happen! No experience in gardening is necessary.
If you do not have your own gardening space or you have poor soil/ lack of sun, we would encourage you to seek out a plot at a local community garden!
Classes are once a month in February, March, and April (see class details below).

February Class DATE/ LOCATION PENDING 6-8pm
Cut Flower ABCs- In this class we will explore varieties of cut flowers through the alphabet. This will be an introduction to varieties that you may grow with your cut flower plants that we provide to you. It will be a learning-heavy class discussing varieties, plant tips, sourcing, and growing specific varieties.
March Class DATE/ LOCATION PENDING 6-8pm
Grow your Own Cut Flower Garden- Just as it sounds, this class will go in depth about how to go about planning and growing your own Cut flower garden. This class will cover gardening tools and equipment, garden preparation, raised beds, community gardens, site location, spacing, pinching, weed maintenance, and harvesting. I give you all the ‘golden nuggets’ I’ve learned over the years to hopefully save you some mistakes and make this new adventure a fun one! A friendly reminder that in May we provide you with 48 baby plant plugs to start your own garden.
April Class DATE/ LOCATION PENDING 6-8pm
Learn How to Grow Dahlias- Students will be taken step-by-step through the Dahlia planting process, learning about unique heirloom varieties, tuber sourcing, soil, fertilization, planting, support, cutting, winter care, and splitting. As part of this class, students will receive 2 Dahlia Tubers to begin their Dahlia growing journey!
Plant pick-up will be held Friday, May 23rd & Saturday, May 24th. Pick-up will be from our studio in Brockport, NY. More information will be emailed closer to the pick-up dates.

WHAT TO EXPECT: These gardening classes are lecture-style with some demonstrations. Notetaking is encouraged. Summaries of each class will be provided digitally.
TERMS: Tickets are non-refundable. If there is a class that your are unable to attend, you may attend another session (note that this is only available for the Cut Flower Garden Class & the Learn to Grow Dahlias Class).
